About The Role

The Farm Manager oversees all aspects of farm operations, ensuring a safe working environment, maintaining bird health and welfare, managing site upkeep, and driving optimal productivity.

This role includes regular evening and weekend work, with the expectation of working every second weekend on a rotating basis with the 2IC Farm Manager.

  • Lead safe farm operations in line with OHS policies and procedures
  • Oversee daily site activities including sheds, equipment, feed, maintenance and waste
  • Ensure livestock health, welfare and compliance with company standards
  • Maintain quality, hygiene, biosecurity and food safety requirements
  • Manage alarms, backup systems and on-call roster readiness
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting
  • Train, supervise and allocate duties to staff and contractors
  • Manage rosters, performance and workplace behaviour in line with HR policies

Is this you?

You Will Have

  • Relevant qualification (AQF Bachelor's degree or equivalent) or minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Strong people management, communication and staff training capability
  • Demonstrated experience in organising and scheduling workforce activities
  • Sound knowledge of animal husbandry practices
  • Solid understanding of occupational health and safety management
