Introduction

We're supporting one of the largest offshore LNG developments in the world and are seeking an experienced LCV Pre-Commissioning Field Engineer to join a major deepwater pipeline and subsea delivery campaign. This is a rare opportunity to work on a multi-billion-dollar energy megaproject delivering long-term global gas production infrastructure at exceptional scale.

Location: Paris, France

Duration: 12 Months (renewable)

What are you going to do 

  • Oversee offshore and onshore pipeline pre-commissioning operations including:

    • Vacuum pull, flooding, MEG filling, cleaning, gauging, pressure testing

    • Dewatering, drying, nitrogen packing, surveys

    • Flooding cap and pig trap installation/recovery

  • Monitor umbilical and optical fibre testing (pre/post loadout, installation, hook-up testing)

  • Act as client focal point for vessel, yard, and site pre-commissioning activities

  • Review contractor procedures, documentation, and test results

  • Coordinate interfaces across installation, commissioning, engineering, and HSE teams

  • Verify compliance with approved methods and safe systems of work

  • Produce progress reports, risk assessments, and readiness updates

  • Support campaign planning and close-out reporting

  • Promote strong safety culture offshore and onshore

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years' Oil & Gas experience (offshore focus)

  • 5+ years pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning experience

  • Strong knowledge of deepwater subsea production systems and vessel operations

  • Experience in client/operator or technical assurance roles preferred

  • Knowledge of DNV, API, ISO standards

  • Ability to review P&IDs, PFDs, and technical drawings

  • Offshore certification (BOSIET, OGUK, ENG1) or ability to obtain

  • Strong communication skills within multicultural project teams

  • Willingness to travel internationally and support offshore rotations
