Introduction

Brunel is seeking an experienced Specialist, Maintenance Operational Readiness (MOR) to support maintenance readiness and asset management initiatives across major industrial operations. This role will focus on developing and executing operational readiness deliverables, ensuring maintenance systems, strategies, master data, and handover requirements are established and aligned with business objectives.

What are you going to do

Support the planning, development, and execution of maintenance operational readiness activities.

· Review and validate maintenance readiness scope, schedules, assumptions, risks, and dependencies.

· Develop and maintain maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, maintenance items, and task lists.

· Support equipment hierarchy development, asset master data management, and bill of materials (BOM) readiness activities.

· Assist with reliability and asset performance initiatives, including maintenance optimization and continuous improvement programs.

· Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather technical inputs and ensure readiness deliverables are completed on schedule.

· Track project progress, action items, risks, issues, and key decisions.

· Prepare readiness reports, status updates, handover documentation, and closeout packages.

· Identify scope changes, technical gaps, and operational risks, escalating issues as required.

· Support operational handovers and readiness verification activities to ensure successful transition into operations.

· Maintain accurate documentation and ensure alignment with governance, maintenance, and asset management standards.

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance effectiveness and operational reliability.

Essential skills and knowledge 

· Degree, diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Asset Management, or a related technical discipline.

· Demonstrated experience in maintenance operational readiness, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, asset management, or maintenance strategy development.

· Strong understanding of maintenance planning, equipment hierarchies, maintenance systems, and asset management principles.

· Experience working with ERP or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), including maintenance plans, master data, equipment structures, and BOMs.

· Knowledge of reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, maintenance optimization, and asset lifecycle management.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Experience within mining, industrial processing, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial environments is considered an asset.
