Lead electrical design activities for mining and metals projects, including power distribution systems, substations, and related infrastructure. Perform equipment sizing and selection for key electrical components such as transformers, generators, drives, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, cables, and grounding systems. Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, best practices, and technical guidelines. Prepare technical documentation, bid packages, and evaluation materials for electrical equipment and bulk materials. Produce core electrical engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets, layouts, cable schedules, and design packages for execution. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight to junior and intermediate team members. Contribute to engineering studies, technical reports, and design reviews, including evaluation of alternative approaches. Promote collaboration and high performance through coaching, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day support. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery. Manage electrical discipline activities to align with project scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Ensure applicable codes, standards, and project requirements are reflected in the design. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and coordinate design interfaces. Support quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the design process. Work with stakeholders to identify technical challenges and develop practical solutions. Use engineering tools, software, and reference materials effectively to support accurate and efficient design work.
